Burns & Taylor  is pleased to announce that we have been awarded one of the Provinces "Qualified Supplier" designations from the Manufactured Homes Registry. This designation is in conjuntion with the new Online service at Manufactured Homes Registry.

Our staff is fully trained in both the Online and Paper filing systems. The following are the requirements of the Manufactured Home Registry for filings;

Mandatory Electronic Filings

The Manufactured Home Registry has replaced three of the most frequently used paper forms (initial registration, transfer of ownership resulting from a sale, and residential exemption) with
electronic filing transactions.  This Internet based filing system was introduced in December 2003, and has been very well received by customers of the Manufactured Home Registry.

After February 20, 2004, the registry will no longer accept paper forms for these filings. Instead, qualified suppliers will be able to file through their BC OnLine accounts.  The registry will continue to accept forms for more specialized low-volume transactions.

Qualified suppliers must carry liability insurance, and must agree to store documents that they file online for 7 years. 

Mandatory Paper Filings

The Manufactured Home Registry continues to accept the following documents for manual filing at the Registry;

1. Transfer of a deceased's interest
2. Transfer of an Estates Interest
3. Application for Initial Registration
4. Application for Decal Replacement
5. Application to Correct a Location of a Manufactured Home
6. Application to Correct the Manufactured Home Register
7. Change in Registered Location

Burns & Taylor continues to provide paper filing service throughout each business day at the Manufactured Home Registry for these filings and any questions you may have regarding the Registry. The Registry works on a 24 to 48 hour turnaround time for these manual filings.
